Getting it Right for  Children and Families affected by Parental Problem Alcohol and Drug Use (CAPSM Guidance for agencies in Edinburgh & the Lothian’s)

This ½ day workshop aims to raise professional awareness of these new Guidance which replace the “Protecting Children Living in Families with Problem Substance Use – 2005” (Orange Book). The guidance provide an operational framework applicable to all statutory and third sector agencies and practitioners, to ensure that they work together to promote the welfare of children and safeguard them where parental alcohol and/or drug use may adversely affect them.

All staff attending this training are expected to have previously completed GIRFEC and Level 1 Child Protection training.
