Raising Awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation: Inter-agency Training

ASN016 8th September 2016 – 9.30am – 1.30pm

ASN017 11th November 2016 – 12.30pm – 4.30pm

ASN018 8th February 2017 – 9.30am- 1.30pm

Venue – Brunton Hall, Musselburgh, EH21 6AF

This new training opportunity is designed for social work, health, education and residential practitioners as well as foster carers who have regular contact or carry out direct work with young people. The course will raise awareness of how young people become involved in Child Sexual Exploitation, the impact of their experiences and how practitioners can respond to protect and support those affected.

All staff attending this training must have previously completed Level 1 Child Protection training.

It is important that you familiarise yourself with the East Lothian and Midlothian Interagency Guidance on Child Sexual Exploitation before attending. This can be accessed at www.emppc.org.uk
