PC03: Understanding challenging behaviour in young children

Wednesday 6 December 2017: 5-7pm at Almond Park Nursery Musselburgh

A Twilight Session designed for practitioners working in Early Learning and Childcare in East Lothian as part of a series of twilight sessions to build our ambition to be reflective practitioners dedicated to delivering the highest quality early learning experiences. The sessions provide an ideal opportunity to develop a partnership network and to share practice.

Session overview:

This session will focus on the following areas and provide opportunity for reflective discussion with colleagues:

  • why young children might behave in the way that they do
  • factors that can impact on children’s behaviour
  • the importance of attunement, attachment and empathy
  • what we can do to support young children and help them to develop effective self-regulation
