  1. Loved your web page and newsletter. Have bookmarked them. I am writing this from Sydney Australia and it is 45 degrees, I am hiding inside from the heat. I often visited Elphinstone as a child in the late 1940s and early 50s. My Gran lived at 11 Buxley rd. My Gran, My mother and all my Uncles and Aunts went to your school, My Great grandfather helped build the www chapel (William Arnott) and my Grandfather is on the war Memorial (John Stewart) I came back for a visit in 2006 and much was the same as it always was. But the stone had been moved and the fuffets ?? had gone. My people go back to the 1840s if there are any old family’s still in the area.
I will look forward to reading your newsletters from now on.
    Kind regards
    Ian
