The Parent Council is a friendly group of parents/carers which supports the school in its work with parents – consulting with and reporting to the wider parent audience. The Parent Council plays a key role in representing the views of parents to the Head Teacher, East Lothian Council and Education Scotland and promotes contact between the school, parents, pupils, nursery education providers and the community. Fancy getting involved? Our next meeting is on Tuesday 23rd May at 7pm within the School’s Staff Room. You can also email email@example.com
Please note that Monday 1st May is a holiday.
All resume on Tuesday 2nd May.
All classes will be getting their photos taken on Tuesday 25th April. Please remember your child should be wearing school uniform for the class photo.
Today marks the start of Health Week in the nursery and school. Lots of exciting activities will be taking place and we will have many visitors in the school working with the children on various aspects of health and wellbeing. Some of the activities include: Jo Jingles, Enjoyaball, Tiger Cubs, a safety talk from a local police officer, fruit and vegetable tasting to name just a few.
The newsletter for January is now available under the Newsletters tab at the top of the Home Page. There is also a link to a parent family support leaflet that was included in this month’s newsletter.
We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
Hopefully everyone had a good time over the Christmas holidays and you are ready for another busy term ahead. Our school and nursery newsletters go out soon – please take time to read the newsletters as there will be lots of useful information included.
Our last day of term is Thursday 22nd December. Primary 1, Primary 2 and Primary 3 will be going to a Christmas service in the hall and we will be collecting donations for the Food Bank.
We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
