Yeay! We can get back onto Edubuzz now without any problems. So I guess it’s time for a little update of what I’ve been doing over the last month with classes that you can see on Edubuzz.
I worked with P6/7 at Macmerry Primary and P6 at Pencaitland Primary to do a project on inventions. They visited us at Prestongrange Museum and then we went to their classes to hear about the inventions they’d come up with. We had a Glow meet between the two classes at the end, described here by Matthew and James. The project was featured in the Times Educational Supplement, as shown here on Pencaitland’s website.
I had a great time visiting Aberlady’s P5/6 class, where we looked at Victorian artefacts. Do look out for the great photo of the magnifying glasses in the slideshow!
I also had fun taking a Roman soldier into meet P3/4 and P4/5 at Musselburgh Burgh Primary. Here’s a blog about when they visited the National Museum in Edinburgh to find out more about the Romans.
So it’s been a busy month! Now, I’m off to wash down some seaweed to use in one of our museum displays!
