On the back of the newsletter that was handed out there was information about a P1 parent’s information morning this coming Thursday (14th September). In case the letter got lost in transit, we just want to remind you that we are holding this on Thursday 14th September at 9.15am. If you could please go to the front office, the P1 teachers will meet you there! We look forward to seeing you all there!
Quick note: Parents evening forms went out today however one of the children dropped there’s on their way out… if you don’t have a form please come and see me!
We have had such a busy week here in P1c and the children told Miss Nuttall what they wanted to put on the blog this week!
We have been writing our first stories in IDL/Writing this week. Red Riding Hood set us a challenge to re-tell her story and draw the setting. The children all did such a good job and we are waiting to hear what Red Riding Hood thought of them!
We have been practising our numbers this week. We have been ordering them, counting, finding the missing number, counting out and even forming our numbers.
We have had a chance to start building out castles with cardboard all the children brought in! We will continue to build these next week and post a picture – it has been messy but great fun!
Lastly, we have had lots of learning experiences at the play stations this week including funky fingers, writing and painting sounds, creating a dragon and making patterns using cubes. We even started our Rainbow Tasks where we have to complete 2 tasks by Friday!
The children thought it would be a good idea to share our learning with you through photographs. This week we have been learning our first sound ‘a’ and tomorrow we are learning ‘t’. You can see us doing lots of activities with them. We have also had a visit to the science lab where we were exploring water!
We were wondering if anyone had any cardboard you could give us? The children are wanting to make a castle/fairyland in our role play area but we are struggling to come across much cardboard! If you have any at home we would appreciate if you could bring it in 🙂
