Last year’s Conference was a huge success, and we received very positive feedback from all students who participated, and were once again amazed at the calibre of the delegates. In 2014, our fortieth anniversary year, we aim to repeat and improve on last year’s success, continuing to provide a wide variety of students with the opportunity to experience studying Law at Cambridge University first hand. We hope students from your establishment will be interested in benefiting from the experience.
As usual we aim to accept two students from every school, with additional students accepted if space allows, and we will follow the procedure we have used in previous years, namely a first-come-first-served system. However, should your establishment wish to specify which students you believe would most benefit from the opportunity, these preferences are highly welcomed and will be taken into account. We believe this enables the students who will benefit most from the conference a guaranteed opportunity to take part.
Due to some problems with late applications last year, it is requested that the names of preferred candidates are received by 9th December 2013 at the very latest. But as places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis it is advised that students make their individual applications as soon as possible. If you wish to run an internal selection procedure for place allocation that may delay students applying, if you could just send an email to my colleague Louis Biggs at firstname.lastname@example.org, I can ensure places are reserved for the successful candidates.
We are extremely committed to widening participation, and although we cannot provide direct funding ourselves, we are able to provide advice on funding opportunities. We have a number of generous sponsors, each with their own eligibility criteria, who have committed to funding a set number of delegate spaces.
If you have any questions or would like further information please do not hesitate to contact Louis – this year’s School Liaison Officer.
At present, you may have noticed that the website has not been updated for 2014. Please accept our apologies for the delay, and rest assured that we are working on updating the web site this week. We appreciate your patience in this matter, and would ask you not to submit applications until the web site has been updated. You will be able to monitor our progress by checking in at this link:
