The Saltire Festival

Each year the Economic Development Team organise the Saltire Festival (www.saltirefestival.com), which takes place at the end of November to celebrate St. Andrew’s Day. This is a series of family-friendly events, which celebrate all of the facets of Scottish culture – music, comedy, food and drink, history and the beautiful outdoors.

This year our family programme includes:

  • The Saltire Ceilidh, Archerfield Walled Garden – 25 November

A fun family ceilidh accompanied by delicious local food.

  • Children’s Twilight Golf, Dunbar Golf Club – 26 November

A fun golf clinic for children of all abilities, playing in the dark with LED balls.

  • Scotland Through the Ages, The Brunton – 26 and 27 November (this is a free event for children)

With living history performances throughout the day, this is a fun, educational event, which tells the tales of Scotland’s heritage
