Hardworking S1 pupils from Ross High School were awarded for their efforts towards the Chaplaincy Challenge this month. The competition theme was ‘Swimming against the tide’ and encouraged pupils to research a famous figure who they considered to be an inspiring role model for young people because they stood up for what they believed. A selection of pupils were invited down to Tranent Parish Church to be presented with their certificates for outstanding effort and monetary gifts for first place and runners-up. The Chaplaincy Team presented the winners with a trophy and gold medals, and the runners-up with silver medals, all supplied by the Tranent Churches. The entries this year were outstanding and a credit to the young people in their first year at Ross High School. An enjoyable afternoon was had by all- well done all!
