The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh will once again be running their popular ‘Getting Into Medical School Information Day’. This year’s event will run at the College on Saturday 24 June and is open to S4 – S6 pupils from all schools in and around Edinburgh.
Convened by two of our local surgeons, pupils will have the opportunity to hear from current medical students, university admissions staff, foundation doctors, a military surgeon and the College President about all elements of the admissions process and the different aspects of a medical career. Topics ranging from how to choose your medical school through to your first year as a doctor will be covered.
Attached is a copy of the flyer for the event. To register, please go to our website using the link below or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

It is a highly valuable opportunity for your students to network with a variety of healthcare professions, learn about work experience opportunities and how to make a successful application.
Registration is £25 for the Saturday conference and there is an optional UCAS lecture available on Sunday for each specialty. Students can register on the Medic Mentor website and find out more about the events: http://medicmentor.co.uk/about/events-2/
All proceeds from the weekend will be used to support our UK’s healthcare students with scholarships, elective bursaries, free training and educational initiatives.
Every year we gather pupil, parent/guardian and staff views of Ross High School to help us to improve. Pupils have been asked to this in school but we really need the views of Parents/Guardians. Please click on the link below for the Parental Questionnaire and take a few moments to complete.
