A Week to Remember in P6/7!

SDC10619Whilst our friends are away to Barga, we have come together to have the most amazing week ever! At the beginning of the week we looked at a range of activities together. In a truly democratic way we voted for the ones we were most interested in.
So far this week we have designed, made and flew our own kites, played in a football tournament, created HUGE story webs and passed the hula hoop around a human circle without breaking the chain of arms! Here are some photographs that show you what’s been going on! TODAY we are making our own pizzas. We will let you all know how we get on.

Yesterday we were building kites in the gym hall and we had lots of fun but we miss our friends. (Maisie and Cameron)

DEANERY CATHOLIC EDUCATION MASS

On Thursday the four Catholic Primary Schools; St. Mary’s Haddington, St. Martin’s Tranent, St. Gabriel’s Prestonpans and Our Lady of Loretto Musselburgh,  came together to celebrate Catholic Education with a Mass in Our Lady of Loretto and St. Michael’s Parish Church in Musselburgh. Children from each of the schools participated in the Liturgy and there was a fabulous turn out of staff, parents and parishioners at the mass showing the three pillars of Catholic Education: Home, School and Parish.

P2 Celebrating Pentecost Together

This week we explored why and how we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost and shared how The Holy Spirit works in us and others in building a loving kingdom of God on Earth! We were so very lucky to have a visit from Mrs Hall’s son Scott who shared his experience of Pentecost at the Cathedral in Edinburgh and also told us all about his audience with the Pope in Rome earlier in the year. We had so many questions! Scott was brilliant and very entertaining! June Snaps 001
