Performing in Mandarin on PhotoPeach
Primary 2 have been continuing to learn Mandarin this year and to celebrate their achievements they performed in front of the Depute Chinese Consulate at the Brunton Theatre. We have added some photos with the sound track for the song that they performed. I am sure your child would be delighted to sing along to the music to let you hear how good they are.

We have learnt some Mandarin expressions and songs with Miss Yi and Miss Doreen, our International students from China.

We had a great time singing the “Tiger song” with the class at the Brunton Theatre to celebrate the end of the Chinese Project in East Lothian.

People who help us May 2015

This month we have invited parents to come along to share their job experiences in helping others.
We were delighted to have Mr Moir, a paramedic, see the inside of an ambulance and learn how paramedics help us on the spot. We also had Mr Norris, a firefighter, who gave us some examples of fire safety and let us try his helmet on! Mrs Fraser, a nurse, shared her experiences in helping patients with learning difficulties and Mrs McIntyre, an optician, showed us examples of what opticians do when checking our eyes and how to ensure they are healthy.
P2a would like to send a big thank you to all of them for coming along and help us to learn more about the world around us.

B. Our descriptions should include enough information to understand where the animal lives, its habitat and feeding options (Social Studies)

C. When presenting our work, our voice should be loud and clear, looking at the audience and responding to other pupils’ questions (Language)
