Edinburgh castle
Yesterday we went on a class trip to Edinburgh Castle to find out more about the Jacobites .
When we arrived we saw the castle and we went around the castle with a man dressed up as a Redcoat. We saw the Great Hall where there were lots of swords and other weapons. Then he took us to a room where we dressed up and saw old things.
We went to see the Queen’s jewellery and they were sparkly. There was a guard protecting them.
We went in the dungeons. I learnt that they were really dark and they never had that much food or heat.
The museum had lots of interesting things of the Redcoats and we saw the one o’clock gun which was very loud.
We had our lunch when we were there we saw a model of Edinburgh Castle.

In P4/5 we iced and decorated biscuits for Hallowe’en. We decorated our biscuits with spooky spiders.
We also dooked for apples and then made toffee apples. They were yummy.
Thanks to Mrs Montgomery and Mrs Russell for helping us!

Bannatynne Circuits
Martin and Jen made up a circuit for us to keep us healthy and fit. It was funny when Martin showed us the star jumps because we had to shout out “I’m a star!” When we did rocket jumps we had to make the noise of a rocket firework. At the end we were exhausted and sweaty! By Finlay and Madison
