Write At home info Feb 2012

The ’Burgh Write at Home’ project is now up and running.

A group of P4 and P5 pupils, who have named themselves, ‘The Burgh Writing Team’ are writing at home to produce pieces of writing for our school website.

The aim of the group is to encourage our pupils to use their writing skills in and out of school, with support form their parents, teachers and peers.

The children are choosing

the pieces of writing themselves – starting with a news article and then an imaginative story on a sporting theme.

  1. Welldone to all of our ‘Burgh Writing Team’ writers, your news articles were excellent… I’m looking forward to reading the imaginative stories next….
    Keep on writing!

  2. I have just read & printed Daniella’s two written pieces from your website, Toddler Rescued on Musselburgh High Street & Footballer’s Dream Comes true, reading all the entries the children really do have a wonderful imagination. Daniella is our GrandDaughter, it is lovely to be able to read & catch up with what she is doing, although she does tell me what she has been busy doing. I look forward to keeping track of her article’s.

It has been brilliant working with you this session. Have a great summer holiday and I’ll see you in 2011!
