Have a look at some videos from our ceilidh!
We held our annual ceilidh to celebrate Burns Day this week.
Thanks to some of the P6s who did a great job helping us to sing, twirl and stamp!
We all completed various activities throughout the day related to Diwali. The Green room made some clay Diwas, the Red room took part in a sensory story and the Blue room dressed up in brightly coloured Saris.
Karen from the East Lothian Arts Service came into school to help us learn about Diwali through Indian dance and everyone had great fun dressing up in beautiful colours and wearing Bindis!

The Primary 6’s from Primary P6/7 have been going down to the hub to help with an oral sculpture. We started going down on the 29th of April we have been going for 3 weeks so far.
Ryan Gordon, Jay Cunningham, Zoe Swan and Ailidh McManus have been given the chance to work with the infants in the Hub. It is a great opportunity. We all have our partners, Jay has been working with Danny, Zoe and Ryan G has been working with Jonathan and Ailidh has been working with Aimee. We really enjoy this and it is great fun.
Alyx Cunningham, Malayika Bambanza and Michael Mackenzie have had the opportunity to go and work with the Juniors.
In the Seniors there is 5 pupils called Jonathan, Daniel, Kieran, Sativa and Amina. Ryan Donald has been working with Daniel, Jordan Spence has been working with Sativa and Kai Wood has been working with Kieran.
We are making objects to put on the oral sculpture. We have been told to use the technique called hand-on-hand. We have had to use sponges and pattering markers.
We realise how fortunate we are to work with the hub because we get to understand that the children there are not so different from us. We really enjoy it and hope we get to do it in the future.

Great music was provided by Mr Webster Craig which kept us in time!
I’m sure you can see by the photos that we all had a great time!
