Primary 4/5/6 got let loose at Newhailes last Tuesday as part of an Orienteering session. We had a great time learning skills on how to read a map and locate different points using a compass. A highlight was the magic fingers which electonically recorded when pupil’s arrived at each point and there were some fantastic times on all four of the courses. All pupils represented the school excellently with super manners especially on a busy 141 so a huge well done! A massive thank you to Marion our parent helper too! We are now going to continue to develop theses skill looking at map work in class and remember if anyone fancies doing orienteering more often there is the East Lothian Orienteers who are always looking for new members.
