We enjoyed listening to another story from the Bible on Friday – Jonah and the Whale.
We used pens and water to create these wonderful watery pictures of the story.

This morning, we looked at a big box of vegetables…

We decided to write some instructions to make vegetable faces!  We thought we could take our instructions and box of vegetables down to Primary 2 and ask if they would like to make (and eat) vegetable faces with us.

After we designed our faces and wrote our instructions, we talked about eating together. We made place mats for our plates and made sure that we laid the cutlery correctly on the table!

We took everything down to the P2 classroom after lunch. First, we showed our friends how to wash their hands PROPERLY, then got to work. We read the instructions, then gathered our ingredients to make our vegetable faces.
The finished vegetable faces looked amazing!

The best part of the day….was eating the faces!

Recycling Homework

The children were given a note about homework today.

We have been looking at ways we reuse, reduce and recycle in our classroom. We want to show the other children in our school what we know about recycling. For homework, can you find 2 pieces of packaging that has the recycling sign on it and bring it into school?

It would be helpful if this could be done by Monday, 12th May.

Thanks!
