Just over a week to go…..
A couple of reminders/pieces of information.
- Primary 1 Assembly at 9:00 on Friday, 27th June. All welcome.
- Muddy Clothes Monday – last session on Monday, 23rd June.
- Commonwealth Activities on Tuesday 30th June and Thursday 3rd July. The children will need to come prepared to run/walk a mile on Tuesday, whatever the weather! We are planning to accompany the children to Bleachfield for sporting activities on Thursday. Please make sure your child is suitable equipped.
- Wednesday 2nd June – Leaver’s Assembly – all welcome.
- The children will be allowed to bring a toy from home on Thursday and Friday of the last week. Please ensure the toys are not valuable, electrical or too precious!

Only 3 weeks to go until the end of term! ๐
Here are a few reminders/pieces of information for your diary.
- We would be delighted if you could join us for our “Mud Kitchens Day” on Thursday, 19th June at 11:00. Please make sure that you are wearing old clothes as this will be a “hands-on” experience. The children should also wear their muddy clothes to school that day, with school clothes in a bag to change into afterwards.
- Debbie and the rest of the dining staff are organising a “Mad Hatters Tea Party” for the children on Thursday, 19th June. A selection of sandwiches, pizza fingers, mini sausages and chicken goujons will be on offer that day. THERE WILL BE A PRIZE AWARDED TO EACH CLASS FOR THE PERSON WHO HAS THE BEST HAT!

- Our annual violin concert also takes place on Thursday, 19th June at 2:00 in the hall. Again, you are welcome to join us.
- Reading will finish on Wednesday/Thursday this week (18th/19th June.) Books will be gathered in to be sorted and counted ready for next session. However, the following week, the children will be working on their words for Assembly.
- The Primary 1 children will be helping their Nursery Buddy to have lunch in the school dinner hall on Thursday 26th June. P1 children should choose a school dinner or packed lunch as normal.
- The Primary 1 Assembly will be on Friday, 27th June at 9:00 in the hall. Please join us if you can.
- Also on Friday, 27th June, auditions will be held for “Yester’s Got Talent.” Please make sure your child has any music or props with them if they would like to take part.
- If your child is taking part in the “Design a Garden” Competition, it should be handed in on Monday, 30th June.
- Our P7 Leaver’s Assembly is on Wednesday 2nd July. Not sure of the time at the moment – will let you know when this has been confirmed.
- Friday, 4th July – “Yester’s Got Talent” Finals. School breaks for the holidays at 11:50 . ๐ ๐ ๐

As you know, Nursery and Primary 1 children have been working together every Monday in their Mud Kitchen! We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to come and join us on Thursday, 19th June at 11:00 โ 12:00.

Another rainy Sports Day ๐
But we managed to run a couple of races before we had to go back inside. ๐
We made our own rosettes for sports day when we went back intoย the classroom.

We followed instructions to grow cress for whole class reading today (see big green jotter.) We are going to write instructions then ask our friends in Primary 2 to read them and plant some cress too.

A few dates for your diary from Pupil Council….
- From Wednesday, 11th June, fruit ice-lollies will be on sale at playtime for 20p.
- There is going to be a “Miniature Gardens” competition. Design and make your own miniature garden and bring into school on Monday, 30th June.
- Yester’s Got Talent Competition – auditions on Friday, 27th June. Please let Pupil Council know about your act by Wednesday, 27th June.
