This term we are going to be learning about stories from the Bible. We found out that the Bible is a special book for Christian people. The Bible has lots of stories in it.

The first story we listened to was “Noah’s Ark.” We watched this little cartoon to help us understand what happened in the story.

Next, we drew these fantastic pictures showing the animals going onto the Ark in twos.

We learned about another Bible story today….David and Goliath.

Mrs Jamieson gave us some pictures of the story….but they were muddled up. We had to glue them together in the correct order.

We are learning about a special book called “The Bible.” Christian people read this book. It has stories about God and Jesus in it. We listened to a story about a man called Noah, who built an ark for all the animals. Only 2 of each kind of animal went into the ark.

Today, we have been reading the Christmas Story together.
Why don’t you try to read it at home too? I have set the slideshow to the slowest setting, however, you may need to pause each slide to give the children a chance to read it. We have already looked at this together in class. Please do not expect your child to be able to read every word, but they should be able to recognise some of the more frequent words and keywords.

We used the story to help us decide WHO to put in our stable.
