The Scottish Book Trust are keen to get some feedback from parents of P1 children on the books which were given out to children earlier this year and would really appreciate it if parents could complete a  survey for this- link below.  The closing date for completion of this is Friday, 27th February.

The Primary 7 children explained how our Christmas post box works…
If you want to send a Christmas Card to your friends, write their name AND CLASS on the front of the envelope, then post it in the box at Alan’s office. All the classes take turns to sort the post and deliver the cards to the children in school!

Lesley and I were absolutely stunned when we saw the children’s writing today!

If there was ever a case to promote linked writing, the “Dinosaur Stomp” invitations written for P6 today were hard evidence! We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw how the children were naturally starting to form letters (which haven’t  yet been taught) from the bottom of the line, and in some cases, naturally joining letters together. I sent a copy of your child’s writing home for you to see. Whether the children were overwriting (in orange pen) or underwriting (in black pen) the results were astounding.

Have a look for yourself!

Considering the children have only been in school for a few weeks and have only been taught formation of s,a,t, they have exceeded all expectations – long may this continue! 🙂

Someone has gone home with Sam’s sweatshirt (I think after we changed from gym on Thursday.) Please could you have a wee look at home for it? The sweatshirt has his name on it.

Thank you!

We had great fun at our Christmas Party yesterday with our friends in Primary 2 and Primary 3. We played games and had some party food, but the most exciting part was a surprise visit from Santa!
