The Primary 2 Classroom

Hello everyone

The end of Week 2 already! We have been doing lots of work to brighten up our classroom, as you can see from the following photos. We talked about James Watt and looked at the invention of the steam engine. Mrs Kemp brought in her miniature steam engine to let us see how steam can make things move. We talked about friends and friendship and made a ‘Friend Shop’ for our cloakroom.

Next week, we will begin our reading and our new topic, The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch.

We have learned a few songs already including our favourite ‘Alice the Camel’.

There are still a few children who do not have gym kits, I would be grateful if these could be sent to school as soon as possible.

Keep enjoying the sunshine,

Maria Kemp

Welcome back!

A very warm welcome back to school and Primary 2!  I hope you all had a fantastic summer and enjoyed all the lovely sunshine we have had.  There are lots of exciting things planned for the course of this year so I hope you are ready to roll up your sleeves and get down to some hard work!
