Primary 2’s visit to The Hirsel Farm

Primary 2 had a fantastic day at the Hirsel Farm in Coldstream which was organised as part of our topic on Scottish Food and Farming. We made delicious vegetable soup and oatcakes and learned all about root vegetables and cereals. We had a walk round part of the estate and some of us (including Alasdair!) met Alasdair, the Highland cow! Thank you to Mandy, Kenny, Clare, Sonia and Kathleen who looked after us. I am sure the children will sleep well tonight!

Inika’s Cake Shop

Thank you to Inika and her mum, Laura, who baked some delicious cakes and biscuits which we sold on Friday in aid of Sports Relief. We made a total of £32.50 which is absolutely fantastic! Well done Inika and Laura.
