P4s have been working hard on their personal projects this week and we are excited to hear and see them next week when they will all get a chance to present them to the class.

We really enjoyed our Netball and Cricket session with P6 yesterday. It was great fun to have a chance to play both sports and also to play with a mixture of children from P4/5 and P6, not just our classmates.

It is incredible to think that next week is the last week of term and another school year has gone! Mrs McKerron and I are feeling emotional about saying goodbye to a fantastic class, but we are confident that all of the children will continue to succeed in their next classes and beyond.

Friday 17th June 2016

We have had a great week in P4/5.

At the start of the week we really enjoyed programming the Beebots with P1. It was great fun!

On Wenesday we spent the afternoon doing outdoor learning in the wildlife garden. We all created tracks and trails, created outdoor artwork, made and decorated clay thumbpots and made human nests. We worked well and had great fun creating all of these things using only natural resources. Have a look and see what you think…

P5 John Muir Project

As part of our John Muir work, this week P5 visited the local woodland and school wildlife garden with Sam, our Countrside Ranger.

We looked for creatures and their habitats, made clay faces using natural resources, looked for (and sniffed out!) some tracks and trails and did a bug hunt.

It was a fantastic morning.

Amazing Homework!

Last week everyone brought in and shared their homework about hydo, wave or tidal power.

There was an amazing assortment of powerpoints, models, diagrams, posters and fact sheets.

We were incredibly impressed with the work that had been put in and the children were really able to explain clearly what they had found out.

Here are some of the pieces that were shared:
