Building Foundations for the Future!

Filed under: Caterpillars — Argyle Bridge Children's Nursery at 2:08 pm on Thursday, October 10, 2013

The babies have been out for walks along to the park having a turn on the swings and have been crawling around exploring the grassy areas. On another occassion we went out to collect some Autumn leaves and were looking at the trees. We used the leaves in the tough spot for the children to feel and made some gluings with them. We have used the gluings and other art work to create an Autumn display on the windows for the children to look at. Some of the babies are cruising and climbing so we have brought in the soft play and big blocks to build their confidence and gross-motor-skills. We have also been using lots of push along toys to aide them when taking steps. We having been showing interest in textures and have brought in a variety of tactile materials for the children to explore such as cornflakes, leaves and gluck. We will continue this interest over the next few weeks.
