Building Foundations for the Future!

The cruisers have been enjoying spending lots of time in the garden with all the lovely weather we have had recently developing their gross-motor-skills when using the outdoor equipment such as the balance beams which we have also been using indoors and the children are becoming really confident when getting on and off these pieces of equipment. We have been going out into the local community using the parks and love going on the big slide and see-saw. The cruisers are also showing and interest in the dolls so we have been using resources such as the buggies and  cribs so they can care for their babies and we have been demonstrating how to bath the babies using our water tray. We have been exploring and experimenting with some heuristic play materials such as scarves and shoes developing our fine-motor and problem solving skills when putting them on ourselves sometimes even trying to swap throughout the day with our friends! The children have also had lots of fun baking a variety of snacks such as scones and cheesy bread sticks to sample at afternoon snack developing our knowledge of tastes and textures.
