Building Foundations for the Future!

Babies have been enjoying experimenting with different textures recently. Such as tasting and feeling a range of foods and exploring the gluck and heuristic materials.

Babies have been using different real life resources for example pinecones, leaves and sticks which we have collected from our nature walks in the buggies to produce our autumn display. We used the leaves to print with and the pinecones to glue and glitter, we used the artwork to hang from our windows to create an autumn mobile.

At Halloween we painted our hands and printed them to make scary spiders and dangled them from string to make it look as though they were climbing their webs. We explored the feeling of white paint using our feet and make ghosts which we displayed on our windowsills for our parents and carers to see. As well as doing painting activities we used our sand and water tray for various activities to explore orange gluck and green coloured water with some scary bats and spiders for the babies to reach for and grasp.
