Pre-school have really enjoyed learning about Halloween, we created lots of Halloween pictures using the gluing materials. We explored the textures of mushy peas and baked beans using the witches cauldron. Pre-school have enjoyed finding spooky spiders in the jelly and gluck. Our Halloween story was about the jolly witch which we read at group . The children dressed up all week and our party was on Friday. Pre-school and all their teachers were dressed up and did lots of scary dancing, we had special Halloween snack and got to try some yummy pumpkin soup!

We have also had lots of fun learning their new song for the months of the year and learning the order of the months. Our new planning topics are Dark Nights and Guy Fawkes, we will also be looking at Remembrance Day, Children in Need and Saint Andrew’s Day. Pre-school have enjoyed reading the story for Jack and the Beanstalk in preparation for our visit to the pantomime on the 12th of Decemeber.

We have introduced Owen the nursery bear to pre-school who will be replacing Albert. Owen will be going for a sleepover with children who have had good behaviour and they will also be awarded a certificate and a story sheet to fill in about Owen’s adventures.

In the month of November from the 10th-14th pre-school have the option of dressing up as superheroes in aid of Children in Need, there will be a box for donations in the room and in hall.
