Building Foundations for the Future!

Pre-school have been talking about the fireworks they saw on Guy Fawkes night so we made our own firework paintings and gluing. We have also been learning about Remembrance day where we had a minutes silence and made our own poppy artwork.

We dressed up as superheroes for Children in need where we raised £35.99! Thank you to everyone who donated!

For St Andrews day we baked our very own shortbread and discussed the saltine flag, we also made our poem using Scots language.

Our main topic this month is ‘Dark Nights’. We have discussed road and self safety during the dark months. We have been looking at animals are nocturnal and their habitats.

During welcome time we discuss the weather and how it will be changing into winter time soon. We have been practising our letter formation skills by copying words related to our dark night’s topic e.g. star, moon. This lead to us to make our very own shining stars to hang in pre-school.

We have been focusing a lot on behaviours this month and practicing our good listening skills, we have also been learning about responsibility and safety with the GIRFEC indicators.

We are now starting preparations for Christmas. Our Christmas party is on the Wednesday 17th December between 2.30-4pm all children are invited to attend!
