Building Foundations for the Future!

Tweenies have been using different aids for painting, we have been expressing ourselves using our hands and feet and also creating our beautiful artwork at the new painting easel.

We have been adding to our family tree display now that we have had several children transition into the room. We created more leaves and added the new pictures to our fantastic display.

We have been working on introducing more focused activities into the Tweenie room routine, children are not encouraged to sit down in the morning for group time where they are split into two smaller groups so we are able to focus on achieving our next steps daily. Tweenies have also been working on their lining up and waiting skills and are encouraged to line up before hand washing, lunch and going out to the garden.

Tweenies have been building on their language by looking at a variety of flash cards this month, we have focused in on ‘body parts’ which we promote by singing songs and reading through stories. We have also been learning about body movement which we are able to achieve through dancing.

In the garden we are becoming more confident using the larger apparatus, we have been wearing our wellies and wetsuits and splashing in the puddles; Tweenies like to add washing-up liquid to make them bubbly!

Tweenies have been interested in the transport stories; in particular the stories about the big diggers!

We have begun our Christmas crafts and making our Christmas display which will be carried on throughout December.

Our Christmas party is on Wednesday 17th December between 2.30-4pm. All children all welcome to attend.
