Building Foundations for the Future!

Babies

The babies have been focusing on exploring textures. We have made a “Sensory Wall” for the children to lift the lids and feel what is underneath. The babies spend lots of time feeling the textures while the staff members help them to verbalise what they might be thinking.

We have also been using foods in our play such as cucumber, mushy peas and dry foods like flour. We included some of these into our “Teddy Bear’s Picnic” the babies enjoyed tasting all the items on offer.

The babies have enjoyed exploring water and using various sized tubs for filling and pouring. We also liked mixing the water into the sand!
