Building Foundations for the Future!

Pre-School have had lots of fun learning about Chinese New Year, we learnt which animal was celebrated for each child’s birth year. We made lanterns for setting off up into the sky and also had some sweet and sour chicken with noodles and prawn crackers.

We have also been busy up-cycling our crayons putting them in the oven to make love hearts and creating new crayons. The children enjoyed using these to make Valentines cards for the people they love.

We made pancakes for snack for Shrove Tuesday and had these with some lemon, jam or butter!

Our nursery bears Albert and Owen have been having lots of trips home with the children who have the most smiley faces on their charts! And we have loved hearing about what they have been getting up to!

We have recently created an achievement tree for all our children which is found on the wall at the stairs. This is to celebrate all the achievements the children are having at nursery throughout the week.

The children and Pre-School staff have been working closely together to make a plan to develop the outdoor areas. We are hoping to improve our water area, story area and music room! If you have any ideas on how we could improve these areas or any materials we can use to help develop our garden please let us know!
