Tweenies have been getting ready for Mother’s Day over the past couple of weeks. We have been decorating plant pots using paint, feathers and glitter. The Tweenies have been developing their fine motor skills through this activity, using the paint brushes and planting the seed in the pots. We also made beautiful Mother’s Day cards using our feet to paint by making marks on the paper.
Tweenies have been going for walks down the Heugh looking for the Gruffalo, but unfortunately we have not found him yet! We collected sticks for us to explore in the room and had a look at some flowers and talking about Spring.
For Spring we have been creating marks using our paint brushes with a variety of Spring colours at the painting easel. We have been practicing self sourcing the paper!
For World Book Day we made coloured rice and brought in Dr Seuss character to explore using our imagination.
Happy birthday to Evangeline! The children enjoyed baking cakes for Evangeline’s birthday.
Tweenies are also welcoming Charlie and Jay into the room who we’re sure will get on great and settle in well.
