Tweenies have been exploring different dried foods in the water tray, such as chickpeas and lentils. They enjoyed transporting the chickpeas to the house corner, exploring them in the water tray and even trying to eat them!
To develop our fine-motor skills, Tweenies staff have been bringing in different resources such as jigsaws, small characters and have attached string to the radiator cover so the Tweenies’ have the opportunity to thread the string in and out of the cover. Tweenies’ have been very interested in these activities.
Tweenies’ have enjoyed explore our new garden! We have been wearing our willies and wetsuits while we enjoy playing in the mud-kitchen. Tweenies’ have also been developing their gross-motor skills on the large balance beaming, managing to do it with little support from staff. We have also been practicing using our zips and hanging up our jackets on our pegs when coming in from the garden.
Kipper has been going home with a number of children this month. They have enjoyed showing atheir friends pictures of themselves and Kipper going on adventures at group time, while staff have been reading out his diary. We have developed our display in Tweenies’ to display Kippers photos and stories.
Tweenies’ are also welcoming Oliver into the room who we’re sure will get on great and settle in well! We have also been baking cakes and making cards for Caitlyn and Evangeline to help celebrate their birthdays!
