This month, Tweenies’ have been practicing blowing bubbles through a bubble wand. They each took a wand, and carefully brought it to their mouth before blowing. When the Tweenies’ created bubbles, they all jumped up and down and clapped, popping the bubbles as the floated to the ground.

Tweenies’ enjoyed using their imaginations to create a beautiful picture with paint and glitter in group activities this month. Tweenies’ used their fine motor skills to hold the bubble wands and used them to make marks with the paint. Afterwards, they sprinkled glitter over the paper using the shakers. Throughout this experience, staff were talking about the different colours of paint that we used to help further Tweenies’ vocabulary. Tweenies’ also enjoyed participating in a group gluing activity. They used the glue sticks, with a pincer grip and dipped the glue stick into the purple glue and used their fine-motor skills to spread the glue across the paper. Then using the scooper for the glitter sprinkled glitter over the glue on the paper.

Tweenies’ enjoyed exploring our food farm that we created using beans, rice, mushy peas and custard! They used their hands and mouths to taste and feel the texture of different messy foods. They also had fun exploring the farm animals and used their imaginations while role-playing with them.
