Building Foundations for the Future!

Caterpillars

The caterpillars have been busy starting our Autumn display in the room. We used brown, orange and green paint to create a group piece of art work. We also used handprints as leaves falling down. We are also going to take a walk down the Heugh to collect pine cones to add to our display.

the children have also been very interested in farm animal sounds. Staff recorded some animal sounds and songs onto the sound buttons for them to listen to. This has encouraged them to repeat the sounds and interact with each other. The small world farm has been set out and the caterpillars have spent long periods of times exploring the resources.

Some of the children are beginning to cruise the furniture and take their first steps, so staff have been setting the table up at intervals throughout the day with table top activities for them.

While some of the younger children are begging to sit unaided, we are supporting them with this, using cushions after a short time of them sitting independently.

We have welcomed Harry, Desiree and Euan into the room too!
