We would like to welcome back every after our Christmas break and hope everyone is ready to go!

This month the Ladybirds have shown a lot of interest in caring for the babies in the house corner. To further their interest we have provided the children with a variety of resources, such as nappies and changing mats, clothes and beds for the babies. We also explored real foods in the house corner, such as cucumbers, onions and pears, which the babies enjoyed to eat, as did the Ladybirds!

The ladybirds have also shown a lot of interest in developing their fine motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination through small group activities. We have been using the threading boards and thread and using lots of different materials for the children to paint with, to develop these skills.

In the garden the Ladybirds have been appreciating the lighter nights, where we have enjoyed using the balance beam with and without support. We have also been on a lot of walks around the community, trying to get the Ladybirds more confident walking on the walk-o-dials, which they are doing brilliant at, well done!
