This month the Caterpillar’s have welcomed some new friends to the room! We would like to say Hi to Amber and Jak.

We have been busy creating Mother’s Day cards, where we used handprints as beautiful flowers. The children were able to explore textures using their hands and also be creative through this activity with the various colours of paint.

The children have been developing on their messy play experiences, using dry foods, Gluck, multi coloured wood shavings and lots of water play. Staff have been adding different resources to the heuristic baskets too, such as gloves filled with beans, pulses, and sand.

The Caterpillars have also been celebrating some 1st birthdays, where we have made lovely cards and done baking to make small fairy cakes as a treat. The children loved getting messy with the flour and were developing on their hand eye co-ordination while mixing the ingredients together.
