This month the Caterpillars have been focusing on different animals and their sounds. We have provided jungle animals, as well as our small world farm with animals and sound buttons. The children have enjoyed pressing the sound buttons to hear the animal sound or a song that is recorded on it. Staff have also read lovely farm yard stories to the children, practicing their sounds with the children.

We have also started a beach display, where the children have had an opportunity to use various creative materials. The babies did gluings with sand and paintings with yellow and orange paint. We will continue to add to our display so that all children have participated.

The children have been enjoying a lot more time in the outdoor space, exploring the garden resources and also bringing water play outside too. The babies have been very interested in the kitchen area outside, making use of the metal pots and pans to create sounds with the utensils.

We would like to welcome Mason and Robert to the Caterpillar room! They have both took well to the settling in process, and we are sure they will enjoy their time at nursery.
