The caterpillars have been developing their senses and confidence in messy play a lot this month as for a while they had lost a little interest. They have really enjoyed using real foods as part of their play and we have used a variety of foods such as; cooked spaghetti, beans and mashed potato. We have also had a picnic with lots of different fresh fruit in our room too!
We have also been developing our gross motor skills as we are all beginning to climb and cruise around the furniture. We have had soft play out in the garden and also in our room too, the caterpillars enjoyed climbing up the steps and crawling through the tunnel and also building bonds with friends and teachers hiding from each other on the soft play.
