Some of the children have also enjoyed exploring different modes of transport this month, which we have been developing further. We made a car wash using a cardboard box, which Carly then turned into a car wash, which Harry, Evan and Leo loved rolling cars through. The Ladybirds also loved getting messy! They enjoyed rolling the cars and water down the car garage before washing the cars off in buckets of water and drying them with the towels! The children developed their waiting and turn taking skills during this activity, while waiting for a shot of a car and rolling it down the slide they wanted.

We have also been caring for our tadpoles, which we have been enjoying watching turn into frogs. The children have been very interested in this and to further their interest we have been up to the Dragonfly Room to watch the frogs hop about their enclosure. We also made froggy handprints using green paint on our hands to make prints on our paper before sticking on googly eyes and pink tongues.

The Ladybirds also loved getting their wetsuits and wellies on with all this rain and going on walks down the Heugh and into the garden to splash in the puddles!
