This month the Ladybirds have been developing their colours recognition skills through a range of activities. We have introduced new puzzles, such as colour matching cards, small coloured bears and coloured spots that the children use to jump onto while shouting out their colour. The children have really enjoyed playing with our new resources while developing their colour recognition

We also went on a scavenger hunt down the Heugh where we searched for bugs, leaves and flowers. The children used their sheets on clipboards and with a pen marked off what they found, they then helped one and other to spot the different objects on their sheets while we supported them by using describing words to talk about the objects further.

The Ladybirds have been getting confident with dressing themselves after sleep time or getting their nappy changed. With verbal support and a little bit of help, most are able to put their trousers and socks on with no support! Well done the Ladybirds!
