The caterpillars have been exploring a lot of natural materials and resources this month. We have been playing with the wooden dinosaur land and added crunchy cereal to stomp the dinosaurs feet while listening to it crunch! We have also had wooden logs out in our sand tray and developed our fine motor skills by using glue sticks to glue the sand to paper. We have started our new textures display where we have used a variety of materials in our group activities. The caterpillars have enjoyed using their senses to feel all the different types of materials. The caterpillars have been enjoying our homemade post box too! They have been posting all the flash card pictures through it and looking inside to see where they went.
The caterpillars have also been exploring all different types of sounds , using a variety of big drums and beaters and listening to a variety of music cd’s while shaking our musical instruments.
