Building Foundations for the Future!

Caterpillar Room

The caterpillars have been enjoying using lots of musical instruments and listening to various types of music on CDs. We also enjoyed a trip along to the local library for a Book bug session. The children interacted well, using the instruments and listening to a short story.

We have also loved exploring real foods, both dry and wet foods! The children have been feeling the textures of the foods and tasting them too, allowing the children to explore their senses. We have used; pasta, rice, mushy peas and porridge oats.

This month we have made lovely valentines cards for our family, printing our hands and feet. Used red and pink materials for gluing with and explored red Gluck.

We also made pancakes for Shrove Tuesday. The children liked mixing all the ingredients together, so that staff could then cook them ready for snack.

The caterpillars have also welcomed Paige, Eleanor, Chloe and Ayden to the room.
