Building Foundations for the Future!

Caterpillars

Filed under: Uncategorized — Argyle Bridge Children's Nursery at 9:34 am on Tuesday, September 25, 2018

This month the caterpillars have been exploring different textures, through their play. We have used water beads in sensory bags, made marshmallow playdough and collected leaves and conkers for our tuft tray. The caterpillars enjoyed a walk down the Heugh to collect leaves, sticks, conkers and pin cones. They have been using their senses to explore these items!

We have loved spending time outdoors, whether it be in the garden or going out in the community in our buggies. We have been to the library for bookbug, went to the shop to buy things for making our marshmallow dough and been to the local park. We had our waterproof suits on one day as the ground was a tad wet!

The caterpillars have also been playing with small world animals, using our farm yard toys and introducing jungle animals into our play. We add dry foods to our small world play or used water a variety of textures.

We have also welcomed William, Angus and Lachlan into the room.
