Building Foundations for the Future!

Ladybirds, November and December 2018

Over the last two months in the ladybird room we have been focusing on our colours and shape recognition. We have used shape and colour puzzles, coloured peg people, play dough and lots more to identify different colours and shapes which the children may or may not be familiar with.

We have continued attending book bug sessions and even started visiting the care home throughout the last couple of months. This have given us a chance to socialise and be out in the community alot more for different events. The ladybird’s have really enjoyed this – we have even practised walking with the walk-o-diles!

We started creating crafts for our Christmas enterprise throughout December! This included lots of painting, gluing and glitter. We decided to make a Ladybird calander, a melted snowman Christmas card and a keyring. We have enjoyed getting ready for Christmas by decorating the room and bringing in our own Christmas tree to decorate with lots of different materials.

We are very excited for our Christmas party and hope to see the Christmas fairy or Santa!
