Building Foundations for the Future!

June 2019

This month we have been focusing on our fine motor skills through a range of different activities. We have been cutting using scissors and small knives. We have been independent and have practiced buttering our own toast and pouring our own milk!

We have spent lots of time outside this month due to the better, sunnier weather. We have loved the water station outside and all the different resources which are included such as sponges, paintbrushes, tubs, containers tubes etc.. Especially mark making on the paths. We have remembered to get our sun cream and sun hats on before heading out!

We have also loved the loose parts, and we have spent some time in the summer house as it is now a soft play area! This has helped with our gross motor skills, balance + coordination.

We have been keeping an eye on our stick insects – only one has hatched so far! We have been looking everyday to see how big it will grow and to see if any of the other ones have hatched too! Remembering to give them new leaves and water everyday!
