This afternoon we had a visit from Stuart, East Lothian’s Biodiversity Officer. He told P1, P2 and P3 what Biodiversity means, explaining about the food chain and what happens when a part of the chain is lost. L dressed up as a Biodiversity Officer (perhaps a career choice of the future?) to show us what is needed to do the job. Stuart’s talk ended with some very interesting questions from the children – how are birds made, why do roses have thorns and why are Dodo’s extinct? Stuart was able to give us some very interesting answers to all these and more. Thankyou Stuart.
