P5/6 World War I Workshop

P5/6 had a wonderful visit to the John Gray Centre in Haddington this morning to learn more about World War I. We travelled back in time to hear from ‘Flo’, who worked at East Fortune Aerodrome from 1914.

Flo was very strict and insisted that we march everywhere, including down Haddington High Street and back to our bus. We learned lots of interesting facts, made our own propaganda posters and took part in a planning exercise to station troops around East Lothian.

We also looked at the display of work done by Aberlady P6/7 during their World War I project. Well done, everyone.
