By Gregor: P5/6 and P6/7 did a play called ‘Alice: The Musical’ at 6pm on the 23rd June, 2015. It took place in the Aberlady Community Hall.
It was a story of a young girl called Alice who fell down a rabbit hole and ended in a magical land called ‘Wonder Land’. Some of the characters included Alice, Dream Girl, White Rabbit, Mock Turtle, Duchess, Cook, Mad Hatter, March Hare, Door Mouse, King and Queen.
The show was about 1 hour and 15 minutes long. You were able to purchase photos of the characters. There were many backdrops, costumes and props made by the pupils and teachers.
There were 11 songs; Sleepy Summer Days, It’s Late, Music is My Life (played twice), Reeling Writhing, We’re Mad Down Here, Tea for Three, Here comes the Queen, All in a Line, Silence in Court 1, Silence in Court 2 and Where do I go From Here Now.
Audience enjoyed the show a lot.
By Jack: On 23rd June Primaries 5/6 & 6/7 put our show ‘Alice the Musical’ out to the Aberlady community. We made the play look like it was real and that made it look perfect. We were all nervous but we got rid of our nerves and everyone did extremely well. The audience really enjoyed it and laughed at the jokes and gave us a huge cheer at the end. We all found the story very wacky. We had some great singing in all 11 songs & the repeat of one song. The props and backdrops looked amazing along with the costumes. We all out a lot of hard work rehearsing for the big day and it turned out a wonderful play. Thank you to: Lynne Mason, Jed Gordon, Donna Mathieson & Louis Sinclair- McNally.
